Silence from us.

There are no in-state show's scheduled at the moment, and it feels kind of odd. There is reason, however. Tonight begin the David Kranson sessions at Tallcat on the new project. Lots of work is going on in this direction, and at this moment the philosophy of whether the product of this year's studio work will be released as an EP or an album has not settled. Once things settle down in the frantic writhing that results in new music, there will be an "official" style "press-release" that will be written, and released to "news organizations", so that you'll know our "decision" on the "project's" "future".

Writing has been going better than we could have expected. Respect has been moving more freely between us than it has ever done so. Aside from two meetings in the shop to ensure things moving on track, glimpses into the lyrical craftsmanship of this project have been done through strange image transmissions accompanied by sharpened logistical phrasing.

One recent transmission:

It's been awhile since the last post. That is because I am lazy, and so is the rest of the band. We're having a send-off show this Saturday at Bulldogz (way out on the west side, 55th ave and Camelback) before we lock ourselves in the studio for weeks on end to finish the EP.

So ya, we will be releasing an EP sometime in the future of undetermined length at an undetermined time. That also means no more shows, at least for awhile, so we can get it done in a timely manner. So far it is going well and it feels like a big step in the right direction. At the moment, most of the music has been recorded, though there are a few other 'options' that we may want to put together, so exact percentages of completion are impossible to determine. We're working with a lot of the same people that we worked with on 'Salazar Brothers', and the combined experience of YEARS working together is really paying off now that we are able to look at the project as a whole, objectively, with procedure in mind from start to end.

Everyone except for Andy has been sick. Aside from music, our second favorite thing to do is get sick and share it with eachother. I cough constantly and choke when I laugh, and Floyd threw up on his pants. Meanwhile, David has a tickle and Andrew is in California. It makes for weird practices and weirder in-between practices. Spending some time to focus in the studio without having so many outside tasks will be very nice.

There are LOTS of pictures from roller skating after the last show that still need some work before I can post them up here. These things are all post-May 13th. In regards to that show, it is again our last for awhile while we work in the studio. It is all ages and all, so hope to see you there. I'll be at Bulldogz tonight actually, along with Promotional David and a few others to piss in the corners and get the place ready for our arrival on Saturday. If you want to come hang out a bit, let us know.
