| The One Man Revolution podcast has featured our song Odd Prime in a podcast. Listen to it here. Reaching for Lucidity Podcast also played some RC ... Scepticit, along with some good news for the podcast. Listen to that here. Since Floyd finished up a day early, the whole band has the weekend off. Sleep. ![]() |
Finished round 1 of 2 of tracking bass tonight. It is sounding really good. Email Floyd and Sammus and tell them good job in advance.![]() |
| Thanks to all of the fanatics who've come to the last couple of shows and subsequent bouts of superball. Now it is time for you all to rest up, since there isn't another show until April 29th. No details of that one yet. Now we continue in the studio on studio business and returning all the phone calls/emails put off in recent weeks of promotional extremes. Scotty of Mosh Pit fame and Sonny of Mashed Pop fame took some photos of both shows. Observe with your eye balls here. ![]() ![]() ![]() There's video as well that will go up as soon as I get my shit together on this new computer. If you have any photos, video, audio or whatever that you'd like to get up on the site, email it to band@risingconviction.com and it will go up, with full credit of course. In the studio, all drums are done on the three songs, and Floyd has finished tracking on Axel F U. This week Dave and I are doing some writing and will be laying it down soon. Look at the pretty CA date on the show schedule. Shiny. ![]() |
| Show this Saturday at the Sets. We go on around midnightish, but if you show up earlier there is a good chance you'll end up full of booze and boobs. MySpace is blocked where Floyd and I work now, so our ability to hammer everyone in the face continuously with flyers and annoying bulletins so everyone in town knows to come to the show are limited. If you can, pleeease help us out and send a bulletin on our behalf. We'd be very greatful, maybe even sexually. Looks like we're on more digital music networks. I use iTunes personally, but know some people that use Yahoo and a few other ones. They're all kinda different, and I haven't really done much looking to see if I can find us on them. Sometimes you need software, sometimes you don't, etc.. If you don't get music this way right now, you will someday. It will someday replace CD's and the like as the usual method, sooooo might as well get started early. Since I am completely unfamiliar with some of these networks, I'll just run down the list and see what I see on the ones that are a little bigger that you may have heard of. iTunes You have to download iTunes to get these songs. It's a really good music player though that I use every day, and they have a really big network, and you can use these on an iPod if you have one. MusicIsHere Usual stuff. 99 cents a song. previews. This one looks like you don't need software to get the songs though, just a credit card. Yahoo Similar to iTunes from the looks of it. Need some software. Virgin Digital Have to download some free software to use it. Same library as Yahoo. MSN Music Who knows. Blocked at work. Napster This is a good one I hear. It's a subscription service, meaning you get as many songs as you want, but you have to keep paying the subscription fee. If you wanted to get our album for free off of here you could do that too. Download the software and sign upf or the free trial, download our album and burn it to a cd, and then cancel. Free software and all that carp. Rhapsody Another subscription service. A little smaller than Napster. What the hell. There are a ton more of them, some of them are slower than others to get us on their shit. iTunes still seems like the best one, but who knows. Eventually everyone in the whole world will get sued and they'll all be interchangable. Go to the show this saturday or your dad will hate you and think that you are a huge loser, inside. ![]() |
| Holy shit. Thanks to everyone that came to the show on Saturday, that was a lot of fun. Every single person was jumping around and going nut balls out ... I can't say that there are many crowds that will do that for a band time and time again. Good shit. Now comes the serious business. This next Saturday we're playing the Signs of Betrayal CD release show at The Sets. It's all ages and is a big deal. We'll need everyone out at this one ... as it is also our last show for over a month while we're in the studio for all of April. Consider the show at Mardi Gras practice, this next one is the real deal. Sunday Floyd finished up bass on one of the new songs for the demo we're working on. You will all flip out, hard. Thanks to my brother Sam from The Sammus Theory for tracking it and eating that shitty chicken sandwich. ![]() If you have any photos from the show Saturday, please send them to band@risingconviction.com, and we'll get them online. Coolfire.co.uk has put up a Rising Conviction page on their website. Look at it. Thats it for today. ![]() |
| Reaching for Lucidity has played Shudder as part of the Friday show. They've been playing us every Friday and have been helping our online sales (we assume, based on who else people who buy RC on iTunes buy) quite a bit! Listen to it. The set for Saturday is a goooood one. ![]() ![]() |
Wind from the Plains podcast has played Incriminating Downfall from the album salazar.![]() |
