Hey look, we are on iTunes. I've probably posted about this at least twice, but who cares.

Rising Conviction

Right now we are busy with pre-production for secret projects. Lots of writing and rearranging and attempts to make absolute garbage so that we can get rich. Not really, don't worry. We don't like making money at all. Just kidding again.

In other news that I should probably tell everyone at some point, the utterly amazing song REGULAR ZEBRA VS. SEAGULL, PART 1 is not punk enough to be on a certain arizona punk comp that we tried out for. Fuck. Now we have to figure out what to do with it. We appologize for this complete failure on our part.

Dave has a few new animals including a large toad and a tarantula. Both were captured in the middle of the filthy desert in the middle of the night by Floyd and myself (Richard), in containers ranging from a cheetos bottle to cardboard box. A huge walking stick was also captured while trying to take pictures of a pissed off rattlesnake that we found. The walking stick was taken into custody, named "Log" by Floyd, brought back to Phoenix, and immediately abandoned once a trip to the pet store was brought in as a requirement. After several attempts to get the bug to eat any sort of leaf around, it died covered in its own vomit. Dave's toad, however, continues its quest to destroy both its enclosure and its companions. A violent mouse may also be available for adoption if anyone is interested. I cannot guarantee this, as I only talked to Dave about getting rid of the mouse moments after it bit his finger and made him bleed all over, while getting disgusting toxic muck from the toad's skin into his blood stream. A later update at practice last night confirmed that Dave's house is a very stressful situation right now as far as animals are concerned. I have a feeling that something is going to happen, but kept my mouth shut. I bought three dead rats and Dave got a lot of crickets, all for 10% off using my discount card.

Before practice Floyd and I (Mike) ate at a certain mexican food place near our practice area that I will not mention to avoid questions about certain "best album of this year"*'s that we may be involved with. New sauce, new meat, gastric CATASTROPHE, or GASTASTROPHE if you will.

Tonight is more re-writing and preproduction of certain songs for certain purposes.

Thanks to everyone that came out to The Sets last night and stood in the darkness while we jumped around like fools. We hope those of you who got movies enjoy watching them again and again with your closest family and friends. I assume that we will have some pictures at some point of the show, and I'll put them up on the site as soon as I get them. If you have any of your own that you want to submit, email them to band@risingconviction.com. That would be really swell of you.

The next show is FREE, at the Indian School and 19th Avenue location of Zia Records. The purpose of this show is to get some new people to buy the album buy the album buy the album and then charm them into loving us with sweaty handshakes and filthy smiles. Our set will be about 25 minutes long, and its just us. Afterwards we will most likely hang out for a bit and beg to play again because we like it. WHO KNOWS.

Here's a praying mantis that Dave found on his car after the show.
