| Not to repeat ourselves repeat ourselves repeat ourselves repeat ourselves, but another podcast has featured Rising Conviction while we were all on vacation. Slick. Here is the Closet Geek Show's website, where you can listen to the episode featuring ours trulies. So we all went on vacation, and now we are back and ready to go. I haven't seen Dave in weeks and he probably has a full beard now, which is scary to me. Not that Dave has a beard is scary I mean, but that it grew really fast. Beards aren't scary. Got a lot of shit coming up. Oh ya. Lots of shows and other complete TRASH for you all to suck on. The first big one is the September 10th show at the Sets that you saw on the flier on the way on. Holy carp. As soon as we meet up once more we will start screaming about the show a LOT. Kelley Greene got House of the Rising Sun played over the intercom for the morning announcements at her school. That makes me flip out inside, hard. For some reason, the myspace code thing on the left down there is on the front page if you google 'myspace codes', and it is sending a ton of people to our site. I hope they all buy stuff so we can get rich and buy new houses and new horses. ![]() |
| A second podcast about video games has used Rising Conviction as their background music. Videogamenews.com's podcast played almost the entire album in the background of the latest show, as well as giving Salazar Brothers and our site a good plug. Listen to it here, and check out their page here. The date and location for PAPPAS III has been confirmed for this November. It is once again ALL AGES. Details to come ... ![]() |
Last week after listening to the episode of the podcast Aardvark's Nest that featured Rising Conviction, I won that contest and sent in a preview of the album, which was played on yesterday's program. Here it is. That sentence was really poorly constructed.![]() |
| It is rude and or stupid to repeat yourself all the time, but we are not at all ashamed for saying that we have been featured on another podcast, and again yet another podcast. I do not feel guilty for admitting that one of my favorite podcast shows, Coverville, has featured our version of House of the Rising Sun from Salazar Brothers, and had some interesting facts about the history of the song itself. Listen to the episode here. We were also the intro/outro music for a videogame news podcast from DreamStation.cc, and we are not afraid to admit it in public. Listen to it here and feel our veins pulsate with technology. Other news items are and are not as exciting. Decide for yourself. - The flyer for the September show is done, it looks like this: ![]() - Lyrics for all the songs on Salazar Brothers are now in the link to the left titled 'lyrics', which was previously should have read 'lyrics for only three of our songs laid out in a format that reveals our contept for you, our audience'. - Andy is on a tropical island for a long time. We do not know where he is. He told us but nobody was listening most likely. He did touch up our press kit bio and all of that stuff with new words that he learned in college, so once everyone says its cool it will be up on the site as well. He is also currently very involved with our dealings of financial origins, the details of which of course will not be disclosed via this media format. - Dave slept in an airport last night and is most likely tired or having back spasms. I talked to him on the phone briefly when he was in an airport in Seattle and he too seemed as if he was not going to hide the fact that we have been featured on so many podcasts in such a short amount of time. - Floyd has received over 800 emails of unknown origin. Other Floyd news has certainly happened, but is not something that we know anything about. - Bryan feels really creepy referring to himself in third person to avoid the word 'I' in posts on the website. He will continue to do so, however, for consistency purposes without fear of rejection. - We booked another show at Chasers for the 24th. Other bands and other information is currently A MYSTERY - We will be going back to Lake Havasu in the near future for a show. When this will be exactly is also A MYSTERY, but if you asked me who we will most likely ask to come along with us, I'd probably say hell if I know (secret). - We REALLY love email ![]() |
We were featured on our third podcast in a single week on Friday. A great podcast called BandTrax played two songs from Salazar Brothers and had some great comments on everything from the music to the website and the radio image. Listen to the episode here, and check out the BandTrax website here.![]() |
| Rising Conviction was featured on the second podcast in as many days. The Unsigned Podcast has featured House of the Rising Sun on their Heavier Than Most Show 2 podcast. Check out the Unsigned Podcast site here to subscribe, and listen to the podcast here. Salazar Brothers is also now available at TowerRecords.com. and will be available on iTunes Music Store within the next few weeks. You will be able to buy individual songs for $.99 each. Slick. ![]() |
| We'd like to thank The Aardvarks Nest for being the first podcast to feature Rising Conviction. They do not have a web site yet, but you can listen to, download, and subscribe to the show here. There's a new section on the left to show podcasts who have featured us. This is the first of many. If you don't yet podcast, pay close attention to that picture up there, get iTunes 4.9 (free, and you dont need an ipod to use it), and start doing it already. ![]() |
| Production of Regular Zebra vs. Seagull, Part 1 was completed on Sunday. It sounds great and everyone flipped out a lot, though in different ways. It is in the mail to try and get it on the AZPUNK.COM comp v4... sooooo we will see what happens. Whether or not the song appears on the comp will determine whether, how, if, or why we will be distributing the song. Here are Andy and Floyd hard at work while in the mastering session: Floyd with producer Un-named cat #1 ![]() Andy consuming A&R Mammal: ![]() Floyd baring fangs at Un-named Cat #1 to show establish dominance ![]() ![]() |
