| Local independent internet radio station, Monsoon Radio, has made Rising Conviction their band of the month. Check it out and take a listen. Tickets are still available for the February 5th show at the Mason Jar. We spent the majority of the day yesterday in the studio working on the album. Lots of work to be done, and it is shaping up nicely. Here is floyd sitting on the back-destroying couch thing where we spent 8 hours hurting our bones. Dave looks rather comfortable in the soft soft chair. I wonder why I don't sit in the chair. Next time... ![]() It also looks like Briggs, formerly of Keddah, has joined a group called Heroes for Ghosts. We are looking forward to something from them very soon. |
| AMOK has been added to the February 5th line-up to replace recently disbanded Keddah. You may remember them from a few months back at the PAPPAS II event at Cooperstown. They are a great band we are happy to have them on the show. Check out their web site and see for yourselves. In addition, 5 OTHER BANDS have been added to the lineup. The doors now open at 5PM with the Matinee show... the full line-up includes: 1 Juicy Newt 12 Minus Blindfold 11 Rising Conviction 10 Beyond The Now 9 AMOK 8 Fracture Point 7 Sun City Riot 6 Life On Standby 5 A New Beginning |
In case you haven't already heard, our good friends in Keddah have decided to move on. The official statement is on their Web site. It is a blow to Rising Conviction, as we started playing out in this scene at about the same time that they did, and we kind of 'grew up' together in a lot of ways. They were our favorite band to play with and they will be missed. Obviously, they will no longer be on the February 5th bill. Replacements are being considered, and the new lineup will be announced within the next few days. We hope to see new projects from the former members of Keddah in the near future. The show is still on! We still have a few presale tickets (cheaper) so get in contact with us. |
Soooooo.... Ya, I know, its a month away, but its good to just get it done with so everyone isn't running around like a crazy ass jerk in the week before the show. Ask some friends if they want to come and show them a thing or two about a thing or two.If you don't want to deal with it, or just want to print out the tickets yourself, you can always just use the Ticketmaster site and have them mailed to you, or print them out yourself and be done with it. We've been putting together comp cds featuring Rising Conviction, Keddah, and Juicy Newt, and have been passing them out with help from our newly formed street team. They're great, and everyone in town wants one. We have another new song worked out, and its interesting... not quite a cover, more of a song ABOUT a song than a cover. More details about this one later... After a good week, writing the set for the show in February and working some detail into our newest music, we're taking a bit of time to try and put the finishing details into that album. Ya. THAT one. It should be an interesting week. There are two new desktop wallpaper thingies available for download, featuring the photography of Brandon Shabie... select your resolution and Save Picture As to get it.
